You are invited to “Libraries Rock” Summer Reading 2018 at the Rosa M. Tarbutton Memorial Library.
How Summer Reading works:
  1. Children grades age 3 to rising 6th grade (completed 5th grade) can register for Summer Reading.
  2. Register anytime from May 15 until June 9. You’ll receive a logbook to record the titles of  books you read this summer.
  3. To complete the Summer Reading, return book log by July 24. Everyone who completes  the  program will receive a certificate and reward bag.
  4. Children who return the book logs by July 24 will qualify for prizes to the top three readers  from each age group. Prize winners will be invited to a special recognition.
  5. We’ll be offering a variety of programs on Thursdays for children age 3 through rising 6th grade that explores the theme of “Libraries Rock”.
  6. We have entertainers that will present programs on Tuesday afternoons for children of all  ages. We will have door prizes at each program. Our list of entertainers includes:
     June 5 Bill Packard “Magical Musical Tour”
     June 12 Jeffini “Reading Rock Stars Shows”
     June 19 Southeastern Reptile
     June 26 Richard Gnann
     July 10 Gutsy the Flying Fox
     July 17 Foam Party
     July 24 Dr. Arvin Scott
  Come by and pickup our complete calendar of all activities.
  7. Our Thursday afternoon activities include children’s movies, craft, and LEGO. Our first   program (Painted Rock Craft) will be Thursday, May 31 at 4:30.
  8. The library welcomes children of all abilities. All programs are free, but children must   be  accompanied by an adult.
